Epigallocatechin gallat (EGCG) is the most powerful catechin in green tea extract. Green tea extract used in Ocean Green Tea is a standardized plant extract that contains the same proportion of EGCG, each capsule contains minimum 225 mg of EGCG.

That means you’d have to drink at least 4 cups of green tea to get the same as amount of EGCG as a single capsule. Consuming too much green tea as a beverage may cause some side effects due to the caffeine it contains; headache, nausea, insomnia. Ocean Green Tea contains a %3 maximum caffeine, so no side effects occur.
